Quotation terms
How quotations are prepared
We do not publish prices on this website. A person prepares each quotation after reading your enquiry.
A quotation is our offer to supply the items it lists, at the prices and on the terms it shows.
Documents
Before you buy, we give you a Quotation.
When you go ahead, we give you an Invoice for what you are buying. An invoice shows the amount due, the date it is due and how to pay.
An invoice is not a tax invoice. We are not registered for Value Added Tax (VAT). We do not charge VAT, and we do not issue tax invoices.
For every payment you make, we give you a Receipt. You may pay an invoice in more than one payment.
Credit notes and credit held for you
If you return goods, if we agree a discount after an invoice, or if an invoice needs correcting, we give you a Credit note. It shows the reason and reduces what you owe on that invoice.
If you pay more than an invoice asks for, or a credit note is for more than you still owe, we hold the difference for you as credit. We use that credit towards a later invoice, and the receipt says it was paid from credit.
Accounts for approved customers
We may agree to sell to an approved customer on account. If we do, we tell you your credit limit and how many days you have to pay each invoice.
Each invoice shows the date it is due. An invoice that is not paid in full by that date is overdue.
If what you owe us, less any credit we hold for you, would go above your credit limit, we may decline to issue a further invoice on account until you make a payment.
Statements of account
On request, we give you a Statement of account for the period you choose. It shows the balance at the start, each invoice, payment, credit note and refund in that period, and the balance at the end.
A statement shows your account on the day we issue it. It does not change afterwards.
Refunds of credit
If we hold credit for you, we refund it on request, by mobile money, bank transfer, card or cash. We give you a Refund that shows the amount, how it was paid and the reason.
Links to your documents
We send your documents as a private link. Anyone who has the link can open that one document until the link expires or we withdraw it, so please do not pass it on.
We record when a link is first and last opened. We do not record your address or device.
Currency and exchange rate
Where an item is priced in US dollars, we convert it to kwacha at the mid-market US dollar rate published by an independent exchange-rate provider on the day the quotation is priced, plus a margin of 2.5% that covers the cost of buying US dollars. The rate is fixed when the quotation is priced and does not change for that quotation.
Some items have a fixed kwacha price. Those items are not converted.
The quotation shows the exchange rate we used.
What is included
Unless the quotation says otherwise, prices are for collection from our warehouse.
Delivery and installation are quoted separately, unless the quotation includes them in writing.
Site assessments
For commercial systems, three-phase systems, systems that run motors or other heavy starting loads, and other complex systems, we need to assess the site before we can prepare a quotation.
A site assessment lets us confirm starting loads and size the system correctly.
Warranty
Warranty follows the manufacturer's terms for each product.
The quotation confirms the warranty that applies to each product.
Refunds and returns
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Competition and Consumer Protection Act No. 24 of 2010.
Licensing
We are licensed by the Energy Regulation Board under the Energy Regulation Act No. 12 of 2019, licence registration number SL/SE/SOL/2026/044/1.
Licence type: Standard Licence.
The licence covers the manufacture, supply, installation and maintenance of renewable energy generating equipment, including importation.
The licence is valid until 4 August 2031.
